Three Rivers District Councillor Sarah Nelmes Chosen to Fight Rickmansworth West in the HCC Elections.

Sarah NelmesSarah Nelmes, who is currently one of the three serving Three Rivers District councillors for the Penn & Mill End Ward has been selected as the Liberal Democrat candidate for the new Rickmansworth West Division in the May 2017 elections for Hertfordshire County Council.

Sarah has lived in Rickmansworth for over twenty years, and been actively involved in local politics for much of that time, first as a Parish Councillor and then as a District Councillor, .

Penn & Mill End, where she is a Liberal Democrat District Councillor, is a district ward within the Rickmansworth West new county division.

By profession she is a Project Manager, specialising in 'lean' business process design - in other words, efficiency.

She want to use her skills to help support the Liberal Democrat Group on Hertfordshire County Council to provide a robust and challenging opposition to the Conservatives. Just as she does already for her district residents, she will keep the residents of the Rickmansworth West division fully aware of what is happening both locally and nationally She will to get residents involved in the creation of both local and national policy.

Value for money from our residents' taxes is important to Sarah. Her background has involved seeking best value from processes and systems both in the public private sectors. She believe she has a lot to offer, for example in challenging the current administration on contractor performance on highway repairs.
